Vegoose in Vegas for Halloween

On my way to Vegas next week for some interesting musical experiences. First I will be joining up with O.A.R. for a couple days on the west coast to do some business and watch Ordinary Peoples, MC scraps take the stage with them and do more business. Then on Friday I am off to Vegoose music festival. I think by now all of you know that I am a huge fan of this sort of thing, but I must say that I am a little Leary that this event will be the best just from the simple fact that transportation is going to be a bitch, to and fro Sam Boyd stadium. What will they do with 50k hippies running around some barren land of the strip in the middle of the desert...Use your imagination for that one.

I need to get a number of a good cab company or limo service so that I am not SOL.....

The Music, well I have seen a number of spectacular show this summer including Arcade Fire in Chicago with 100+ degree temps and Mars Volta at Bonnaroo and to many more to talk about but I am really looking forward to Ween if you haven't heard them you should because they are strange, fun and full of energy that pushes up to the nose bleeders. This will be my first with them but I will be seeing them twice in 3 days. I am very excited and I will let you now how it goes. I am also looking forward to Beck, which I have heard many different comments about that show but I must listen for myself to make a valid opinion on it.

Well I'm off to pack!

ACL

Okay, I think you know me by now and you know that I love music and music festivals, considering that I have been to every major music fest this year. I have one question, maybe to myself and nobody else. Why did I book a ticket to come to Austin on Sunday September 25 instead of ariving on the 23 when Austin City Limits started? Well I was fucked by the weather and confusion going on in Texas. Why was texas in such a state of panic when the f'in huricane didn't even do damage and it beat up N.O. again. Ask the Bush family........Bottom line, as I just walked 6th street in Downtown Austin I saw many happy and satified faces from the three day fest in Austion . I will not miss this next year......well I'm off to bed as I have an early morning and I guess I have to hold onto my emotions until Vegoose.....Oh, I can't wait to get some real mexican food, my goal for Monday!

But at least I'm enjoying the RIDE!

But at least I'm enjoying the ride, those are my most favorite lyrics from any song and the song is "Hell In a Bucket". And I think most people who know me are aware that I live by those words. The Grateful Dead started everyting for me, freedom, music and many many true friends.

On this day of celabration and rememberance I just want to say thank you to Jerry Garcia and The Grateful Dead for starting something that has brought me so much joy and so many smiles.

Look from a quick glance.

The new way to see Music! Bonnaroo 2005!

I am not exactly sure if I am a fan of jumping from stage to stage without a chance to take in the experience of a band. That's kind of the new format with all of these festivals this summer, don't get me wrong I went to Bonnaroo.
And enjoyed it to the fullest but I did think it was a little more commercial than I expected as well as some of the artist thinking it was just one big party instead of a time to make a statement or play there ass's off, TREY! I was there for more than just Trey of course and most every band or artist that I heard satisfied me musically and emotionally. De La Soul and Mars Volta, lit it up for the late night and I will not forget it!

Don't forget a very funny moment with a good friend of mine as we walked up to the Silent Disco!

My good friends at Jambase said it best "Bonnaroo is a State of Mind" and I agree. Check out the article it's a great one!

Another man's words on my blog!

I am taking this clip from my friends blog because I thought it hit home hard and I hope everyone gets a chance to read this.

My good friend Dave's blog check it out, great!:

A newspaper willing to say it!:Nothing young Americans can do in life is more honorable than offering themselves for the defense of their nation. It requires great selflessness and sacrifice, and quite possibly the forfeiture of life itself. On Memorial Day 2005, we gather to remember all those who gave us that ultimate gift. Because they are so fresh in our minds, those who have died in Iraq make a special claim on our thoughts and our prayers.

In exchange for our uniformed young people's willingness to offer the gift of their lives, civilian Americans owe them something important: It is our duty to ensure that they never are called to make that sacrifice unless it is truly necessary for the security of the country. In the case of Iraq, the American public has failed them; we did not prevent the Bush administration from spending their blood in an unnecessary war based on contrived concerns about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. President Bush and those around him lied, and the rest of us let them. Harsh? Yes. True? Also yes. Perhaps it happened because Americans, understandably, don't expect untruths from those in power. But that works better as an explanation than as an excuse.

The "smoking gun," as some call it, surfaced on May 1 in the London Times. It is a highly classified document containing the minutes of a July 23, 2002, meeting at 10 Downing Street in which Sir Richard Dearlove, head of Britain's Secret Intelligence Service, reported to Prime Minister Tony Blair on talks he'd just held in Washington. His mission was to determine the Bush administration's intentions toward Iraq.

At a time when the White House was saying it had "no plans" for an invasion, the British document says Dearlove reported that there had been "a perceptible shift in attitude" in Washington. "Military action was now seen as inevitable. Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy. The (National Security Council) had no patience with the U.N. route, and no enthusiasm for publishing material on the Iraqi regime's record. There was little discussion in Washington of the aftermath after military action."

It turns out that former counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke and former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill were right. Both have been pilloried for writing that by summer 2002 Bush had already decided to invade.

Walter Pincus, writing in the Washington Post on May 22, provides further evidence that the administration did, indeed, fix the intelligence on Iraq to fit a policy it had already embraced: invasion and regime change. Just four days before Bush's State of the Union address in January 2003, Pincus writes, the National Security Council staff "put out a call for new intelligence to bolster claims" about Saddam Hussein's WMD programs. The call went out because the NSC staff believed the case was weak. Moreover, Pincus says, "as the war approached, many U.S. intelligence analysts were internally questioning almost every major piece of prewar intelligence about Hussein's alleged weapons programs." But no one at high ranks in the administration would listen to them.

On the day before Bush's speech, the CIA's Berlin station chief warned that the source for some of what Bush would say was untrustworthy. Bush said it anyway. He based part of his most important annual speech to the American people on a single, dubious, unnamed source. The source was later found to have fabricated his information.

Also comes word, from the May 19 New York Times, that senior U.S. military leaders are not encouraged about prospects in Iraq. Yes, they think the United States can prevail, but as one said, it may take "many years."

As this bloody month of car bombs and American deaths -- the most since January -- comes to a close, as we gather in groups small and large to honor our war dead, let us all sing of their bravery and sacrifice. But let us also ask their forgiveness for sending them to a war that should never have happened. In the 1960s it was Vietnam. Today it is Iraq. Let us resolve to never, ever make this mistake again. Our young people are simply too precious.

Mo Money Mo Problems!

Ohio State is going down and fast! This time from the Women's Basketball team, who cares you say; well it looks like the NCAA!

"It's a booster situation," Geiger said. "It's just something that is part of the educational process. I don't hold the players responsible in this particular situation but we do have something we have to address."

Check it out.

Lebron vs. Jordan! Is there a Curse of Jordan?

I am not an expert or anything but growing up in Cleveland during the era of Jordan, He is the best basketball player ever and it's hard to grasp the thought that some person could top Jordan. Trust me when I say I have seen The Shot and many other like it to knock Cleveland from it's bar stool.

Don't get me wrong I am thrilled to the bone that Lebron is in Cleveland but the fact that last night on ESPN, they said that Lebron is already better then Jordan. Give me a break he has done nothing but 3 triple doubles, and Lebron go win some titles and in about 10 years then we can talk about the best B-Ball player ever.

I hope Cleveland wins some titles and I also hope that Lebron is the main reason, especially because while in Vegas I laid down $40 for the Cavs to win it all this year.

Lebron is fun to watch and I hope he can create some of those moments like Jordan. After all more than just stats Jordan was about moments that stick in your head because of the pure skill and focus that it takes to beat down your opponent and cripple them to the point of no return.

By the way Freddie don't be a sorry loser!!!!!

Corey Feldman!

This explains why he is so Fucked Up!

News about him and Michael or is it!
